Zeva Art Therapy

Hello, I'm Zeva, welcome to Zeva Art Therapy - a holistic, creative therapeutic approach. I companion people to connect with their creativity, focus on wellness and grow. We all have an innate capacity to express ourselves, be creative and make meaning from our life experiences.

All of my offerings, Creative Companioning, Creative Arts Therapy and Peer Reflection are invitations to express yourself and experience change and growth, bringing attention to what's meaningful. These offerings are for those with an openness to imagine new possibilities.

What is Creative Companioning?

“It is in our nature to explore, to reach out into the unknown. The only true failure would be not to explore at all.”- Ernest Shackleton

What if you could explore new possibilities for your life and way of being in the world?

  • Are you looking to rejuvenate your creative practice?

  • Build a creative life for yourself?

  • Are you looking for a companion to explore your creative practice?

  • Are you feeling stuck with expressing your creativity?

  • Have you been feeling overwhelmed by self-doubt or perfectionism?

  • Do you want to develop creative confidence?

  • Do you want to develop trust in your emergent self?

  • Do you have a creative idea or project you want to explore with another?

So what is Creative Companioning?

It's 1:1 companioning that is holistic and takes into account your whole creative self. Each session is individual and flows in an organic process that is emergent. You don't need to be an artist just have a desire to explore the creative process with whatever is present for you in your life. These sessions help you reframe how you want to be in the world.

What I offer as the Companion is...

  • gentle presence

  • deep listening

  • non-judgement

  • asking questions

  • warmth and care

  • empathy

  • playful perspective

  • patience

  • belief in your potential

What is Creative Arts Therapy?

“Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.” —Bruce Garrabrandt

Creative Arts Therapy utilises creativity to help you make sense of your experiences and help with your growth. In a safe, non-judgemental space you will express yourself. Creative Arts Therapy is a unique process for each individual. It can enhance emotional and physical wellbeing and is gentle in nature. During a session there will be on offer a variety of materials and we together will inquire into what you are creating and how you are making art. Some of these materials are collage, watercolours, soft pastels, charcoal, clay, and oil pastels. The offer of exploring movement, voice and role play are also possibilities.

Zeva was such a warm and kind support as she guided me through some powerful emotions. The connections she made between my feelings and the artwork i created felt so profound and really helped my healing. Her expertise really shone through in each session as there was always something new to do or explore. She did all of this through Zoom sessions which is amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better art therapy experience.
